Supportive Service

Recognizing the complexity of women’s lives, we provide supportive services in related areas.

One of these is in the area of child care. Research indicates that children, especially girls from socially and economically vulnerable sections, along with, and because of their marginalization on account of gender, have little access to quality education, health and nutrition. This is an early disadvantage and leads to perpetuating inter-generational poverty and inequality. In the absence of child care, women’s participation in literacy, income-generation programmes and health care activities remains inadequate, thereby decreasing their own chance of development and participation. The provision of these services is therefore a critical tool for empowering women.
